Chain Sums

Chain Sums is an interactive number-building game where students connect numbered tiles to create sums that match the target numbers shown at the top of the screen. Each tile has open connection spots, and players must decide how to link the tiles to reach the exact total of each target number. As students test different combinations, they explore essential K–5 math concepts such as addition, composing and decomposing numbers, number relationships, and flexible thinking with sums. By rearranging tiles and adjusting their choices, students strengthen mental math skills and develop a deeper understanding of how numbers work together.
